APOSTOLI in cooperation with International Organizations for its activities to support refugees and migrants

APOSTOLI in cooperation with The United Society Partners in the Gospel (USPG), The International Orthodox Christian Charities (IOCC), The Anglican Church in Greece, and The Interchurch Organization for Development Cooperation (ICCO) of the Protestant Church in The Netherlands, continues its project of providing non-formal educational activities and psychosocial support to refugees and migrants currently residing at “Educational Centre APOSTOLI for the Refugees and Migrants” in Athens.

The project aims at facilitating the social integration of refugees and migrants over 15 years of age through the provision of Greek language, history and culture. Once reached a capable language level, the beneficiaries will be prepared to take the National Examination for the Certificate of Attainment in Greek (Hellenomathia), which allows foreigners to register at a Greek institution of higher education.

Moreover, the project also provides English language courses, career counseling, social and life skills and women’s empowerment.

From July 2018 until February 2019 “Educational Centre APOSTOLI for the Refugees and Migrants” is being funded by The United Society Partners in the Gospel (USPG), The International Orthodox Christian Charities (IOCC), The Anglican Church in Greece, and The Interchurch Organization for Development Cooperation (ICCO) of the Protestant Church in Netherlands.
